Development in the Second Stage of Life

Michele Szekely in the Article “Three Stages of Life” found in “Catholic Online" dated 2/3/2009, “. . in stage number two, the world is our womb for eternal life.

However the world is a physical entity and to pass on to the Third Stage of Life we need to have a Spiritual Womb to develop in.

But first the new born baby has to fully develop before it can make its personal decision that decides where it will spends its Third Stage.

First let us think of the baby’s early days and years.

One of the first signs of life the mother recognises in her newborn baby is the Cry! The baby is breathing! The lungs are not yet fully developed but the cry shows the lungs are working. Breath comes in and out.

This is an important thought to remember for the future development and move into the Third Stage of Life.

All parts of the new baby then slowly develop and if there is normal growth, all will reach their full potential.

Some will achieve higher skills, but all parts of the body need full nourishment and exercise.

The saying is true, “use it or loose it”. Any portion that is not used will fail to full develop.

The caring love provided by the Parents and Family is also an important factor in the child’s development. Ongoing love, shelter and food are important throughout the development of this Second Stage. Those who do not have these will have their growth delayed and stunted.

As growth takes place it is important that there is no dangerous substances brought into the body that will delay and/or damage the body.

After a lengthy time it will be time to make some decisions about the Third Stage of Life. As the physical body will die there must be a spiritual input and seeding similar to the physical process that takes place in the start of the First Stage of Life.

This time the individual will have the choice as to the spiritual family they pass on to during the Third Stage of Life.

For those who want to go the Heaven as found in the Bible it is important they realise they need to allow first the Word of God and the truths found in it to grow in their lives and then seek to have the Father God enter their lives by asking Jesus to be their Saviour. Details of this can be found in the Bible and is called being “Born Again”

Then they can look forward to having a loving person waiting for them as the baby did at the first birth.

As the newborn baby went to a predetermined family so it will be when the physical body dies and the spiritual portion passes on to the Third Stage of Life.

Those who fail to make that decision will be default have some other spiritual entity develop in their lives and then when the physical body dies be accepted in to a different Third Stage of Life.

We are all given a free choice as to what we decide to do and to accept the consequences of those decisions.

Preparation for the Second Stage of Life

There is a great deal of preparation that can only be achieved in the First Stage, in the Womb, before a baby can move into the Second Stage of Life.

Michele Szekely states in http://www.catholic.org/featured/headline.php?ID=6093

“In the very first stage, there is an amazing growth, it is absolutely phenomenal what happens during these 9 months. Our time in the womb is very vulnerable and requires lots of love, attention and caring and the biggest threat of all is when the mother forgoes her main responsibility to protect and nurture the baby within her body. The first stage is a preparation for the second one. “

Without the development in the First Stage we could never enter or develop further in the Second Stage.

In the womb development takes place in a regular order

At five weeks there are the beginnings of a brain with two lobes and its spinal cord is starting to form.

At six weeks the embryo has a head with simple eyes and ears and the heart has two chambers and has started beating.

At seven weeks, the limb buds have grown into arms and legs, nostrils can be seen and the heart four chambers.

At eight weeks, the eyes and ears are growing. Bones in the arms and legs are starting to harden, the elbows and knees become apparent and fingers and toes can be seen.

By 24 weeks the baby's organs are fully formed and hearing is possible and it will respond to noises.

Each area of the body develops, however the lungs are not fully developed till about 20 weeks after birth.

The baby needs the correct time in the Womb to allow time for all the body parts to complete their First Stage of growth.

If the time in the Womb is shortened, then there is danger that life will not be sustained in the Second.

Premature babies often need to be in artificial life support till they develop to a safe level. The most dangerous area is the lungs which are not ready for the life giving air.

While developing the baby, as Michele Szekely states, “.. requires lots of love, attention and caring..”

In our story, The Three Stages of Life, the babies are aware that there is the Love and also a Place being prepared for them, these are required before the baby passes into the Second Stage.

First Stages of Life

The words below are found in http://www.catholic.org/featured/headline.php?ID=6093 and my wife and I had not read them when we talked about our Story.

Our Story is at http://watkinson.co.nz/Life_stages/Three_Stages_of_Life.html

Michele Szekely

I have been thinking a lot about this and this is how I see it: there are basically 3 stages of life. The very first stage is the time when we were in the womb of our mother, for what is, usually, a period of 9 months;

In the very first stage, there is an amazing growth, it is absolutely phenomenal what happens during these 9 months. Our time in the womb is very vulnerable and requires lots of love, attention and caring and the biggest threat of all is when the mother forgoes her main responsibility to protect and nurture the baby within her body. The first stage is a preparation for the second stage.

Regarding the very first stage, let me tell you about this set of twins, one boy and one girl, that were happily growing in their mother's womb. But one day, the little girl said: "I think there is more. I have this idea that we are going to go through a big change soon and we will go somewhere else". The little boy says: "What are you talking about? I don't want to go anywhere. We are fine here, we are doing just great, we have everything we need, we can hear our mother's voice and I love it here, I don't want any change!" The little girl says: "You must be right" and grows quiet. But after a little while, she starts again: "There is going to be a change, I can feel it. And we should not be afraid, it is completely normal, there is a sort of difficult passage but there is much more afterwards and it is beautiful and bountiful, in ways that we cannot even begin to imagine now". The little boy is annoyed and says " Leave it to a girl to always want more! I'm telling you that we should just enjoy what we have now. Isn't this wonderful? We are safe, we are fed regularly, we are comfortable and did you notice that she is constantly talking about us? She is constantly bragging about us to everyone she meets. I just love it! I hear her voice and it brings peace and joy to my heart and it puts me to sleep too. Don't talk anymore about any changes, is that clear?" The little girl does not say one more word. But a few minutes later, the little boy adds, in a slow and hesitant manner: "The truth is that, if you are right, and maybe you are, and I have wondered about this, but what it means is that, one day" and his voice gets dreamy, "it means that very soon we will get to see her face and she will look at us and smile…"

I hope you find this interesting.

Should I have Rotator Cuff Surgery?

If you are young and there is a complete torn rotator cuff muscle or tendon, then Surgery is the best option.

How does one know if there is a complete tear?

The only way is to have either an MRI or US scan, both of these will show rotator cuff tears.

Rotator cuff radiography will not show tears of the muscles or tendons.

If a rotator cuff tendon has been torn completely, it usually will not heal fully without surgery. To go ahead with surgery will depend on several factors.

The person's age and general health comes first, then the extent of the injury and if the injury is to the person's dominant side and how much the tear affects use of the shoulder.

It is best if the operation is within three months of the injury.

A healthy rotator cuff that has been torn as the result of an acute injury, is the ideal for surgery, however one torn as the result of chronic shoulder impingement and has not responded to nonsurgical treatments is also a candidate.

Age need not determine whether someone is a good case for surgical repair of a torn rotator cuff but, if the injury affects the non-dominant arm, surgery may not be recommended.

If the muscle or tendon has been torn for some time, the damaged tissue retracts making the gap between the ends too far apart making it impossible to join them.

After surgery Physical Therapy is required during the recovery process. At this stage it is important to only do the exercises the surgeon designates. Over stretching tendons too soon will make them too loose later.

The idea situation is to get early treatment to any rotator cuff injury before there is any tear. Small rotator cuff injuries can lead to an impinged shoulder and on to a tear.
